By creating an account or using Quest Academy, you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What Quest Academy is
Quest Academy ("we", "us") is a learning app for children from kindergarten to grade 8, with lessons, practice, games and reports for parents. Math, Reading, Writing and Science are available now; other subjects and features are added over time. Features marked "coming soon" or "waitlist" are not available yet, and we can't promise when they will be.
2. Accounts are for grown-ups
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add, or have their permission.
- Children use Quest Academy through a parent's account and never create their own.
- Keep your sign-in and parent PIN to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us accurate information. For each child we ask only for a first name or nickname and grade.
3. Free trial and plans
- Free trial: each new family gets a free trial for 2 months.
- Bronze: after the trial, Bronze costs $5 per child per month, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Silver ($20 per child per month) and Gold are not available yet. Joining their waitlist does not sign you up or commit you to pay.
- Paid plans have not started yet. We will tell you before you are charged anything, and you will choose whether to continue.
- Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes. If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel anytime. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't give partial refunds for unused time unless the law requires it. You can also delete your account, which removes your family's data as described in the privacy notice.
5. Using Quest Academy well
- Use it for your family's own learning, not for any commercial purpose.
- Don't try to break, copy, scrape or reverse-engineer it, get into other people's accounts, or get around its limits.
- Don't upload anything unlawful or harmful.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, after telling you why when we can.
6. AI features
Some features use AI. They are off unless you turn them on for a child. AI can make mistakes, so please review what it says; for writing feedback, you approve each response before your child sees it.
7. Learning results
Quest Academy supports learning but does not replace school or a teacher, and we can't promise a particular result. Its reports are evidence you can share with your child's school, not an official assessment.
8. Our content
The app, its lessons, characters, art, sounds and software belong to Quest Academy or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is open. Your family's data stays yours.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Quest Academy running, but it may sometimes be unavailable or change. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that takes away something important you've paid for, we will tell you and you can cancel.
10. Responsibility
Quest Academy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Quest Academy after that, the new terms apply.
